Padiberas Nasional Berhad (BERNAS) will contribute RM60 million to the government to help improve the welfare of padi farmers in the country. Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim said BERNAS had also agreed to share profits from rice imports by contributing 30 per cent of the net profit to padi farmers.
